WebWarper / Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.) / Installation and uninstallation

Are the sites, saved in "Favorites", viewed via WebWarper?

If you saved the address of a site, viewed without WebWarper, in "Favorites" folder, then this bookmark will open the site without WebWarper further on, even if you have enabled address autocorrection mode.

Vice versa, if you saved the address of a site, viewed via WebWarper, in "Favorites" folder, then this bookmark will open the site via WebWarper further on, even if you have disabled autocorrection and removed webwarper.exe utility.

The only way to change behaviour of the bookmark is to edit it directly. If you want the bookmark to navigate to WebWarper-optimized site, then the site address (URL) should start from "http://webwarper.net/ww/~av/" prefix, for example: "http://webwarper.net/ww/~av/www.lycos.com/". If you need the bookmark to navigate to the original site (without WebWarper), then only the standard "http://" prefix should be used, for example: "http://www.lycos.com/".
